Make sure you complete the following tasks right away. Neglect of these simple expedients will result in terrible disaster.
- Check that you have Sakai access to this class.
- If you wish, set up message forwarding so that you don't have to keep checking Sakai for messages (But note! Grade information and other personal information that would be secure if kept within Sakai may not be if forwarded to email - if this concerns you, do not forward to email.)
- Click 'Messages' on the menu bar
- Click 'Settings'
- Select 'Yes' and enter your email address
- Click 'Save Settings'
- Send yourself a test message, just make sure
- Browse around and familiarize yourself with the workings and content.
- If applicable:
- Try submitting something to the 'Practice Assignment' to make sure that is working for you
- If the class has quizzes and you are not familiar with quizzes on Sakai, take the optional 'Quiz of Quizzes'.
- Ensure that you can submit correctly and are able to check your scores and quiz feedback at will.
